DAVID
TWOMEY & EM WORLD
David is an aspiring comic book artist. At present he is working
full-time as a web-designer in London and when he gets the time,
draws and writes 'em world', his comic strip diary.
He has several other comic book projects in the pipeline, and
when he gets the time will get these underway. These include
a weekly comic strip, a mini-comic and a graphic novel.
"I've always wanted to be a cartoonist since I was
about 12 years old. Of course my careers advisor in school tried
to discourage me from 'wasting my time' with comics and animation
and I ended up involved with computers, my illustrations reduced
to sketchbook doodles.
"Now, at the age of 27 I've realised that I still want
to be a cartoonist and I've never had a bigger buzz than hearing
that people read and enjoy my strips."
David also writes and records songs; plays guitar, bass and
tries to sing. Music is his other great passion. He's not recorded
much lately though because his microphone is broken. He is also
on the lookout to start a band.
Em world takes it's name from David's online magazine 'eyemachine'
(eyemachine world). He reluctantly lives in London and is now 29 years old. |
